How accurate is it?

Talus gives a confidence score with every result. When a photo is hard to read it says so and asks for a closer, better-lit shot — so you always know how sure it is. It's a guide for collectors and the curious, not a substitute for professional appraisal or safety decisions.

Do my photos stay private?

A photo is sent to our identification service only to recognise the stone, and is not stored afterwards. Talus has no account and no advertising. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Does it work offline?

Identification needs an internet connection. Your saved collection lives on your device and is always available.

Is there a subscription?
